Hills/ Kalamunda Shield
Next H.K.Shield Sydney 2011
Expressions of interest Welcomed
Contact: djsenterprises@iprimus.com.au
This is the inaugural year for this event
The concept was suggested by the Coach Mr Chris Jones.
Chris enjoyed his junior rugby years and had the opportunity to represent the state and go on tour. He has since then remained involved with rugby and has taken on a coaching role.
One of the players in the age group has a cousin in the Sydney junior Club known as the Hills Club located at Baulkham Hills.
It seemed to be fate the this was to come together as the hills club has the same playing strip and there major sponsor is the bull and bush just too many similarities to ignore.
Initial expressions of interest and letter of intent have been sent to all interested parties and the Tour was born.
The Idea is to have this event run annually with each state travelling alternate years
The next shield match will be held in Perth 2010.
This is this years tour Logo combines the logos of both clubs the bull from Kalamunda and the Waratah from the Hills
The tour group will depart Perth on the 9th of July and are scheduled to play three games in the 10 days One against Hills for the H.K. Shield, one against Beecroft and one against Hawkesbury Valley rugby under lights.
The countdown is on and final preparations are underway
