Breast Cancer Foundation WA Fundraiser

KDRUC first grade wore purple against Nedlands on Saturday 26th September to help raise funds for Breast Cancer Foundation WA. This was also the Clubs Annual Sponsors day which was well attended by sponsors members family and friends.

Despite the wet weather, the day was a great festival of Rugby with competitive games and the first grade side achieving a well-earned 31-24 win over Nedlands. This game was also live streamed onto SBS TV and the web.

Volunteers from BCFWA mingled with members and visitors throughout the day with collection tins collecting funds for Breast Cancer Foundation.

The main event was the auctioning of the custom designed jerseys after the speeches. Josh Todd, the Clubs auctioneer did a sterling job and the jerseys raised a staggering $11,371

Club President Graham England and Marketing Director Jon Beet presented a jersey purchased and donated by the third grade, to BCFWA along with a cheque for $9,721.

Which after costs and cash donations on the day meant a sum of $10,331 being raised for Breast Cancer Foundation WA on the day. An awesome effort by all.
